After six years of competitive racing, I’m thrilled to bring my experience and passion for the sport to the pool. I’ve enjoyed coaching and am excited to continue working with swimmers of all ages and abilities. Go Breakers!

CV Breakers Coach Lucy Heugh

Hello, I’m Lucy! I have been swimming for eight years and am now in my second year of coaching for the winter maintenance season. I love working with both new and returning swimmers and am excited to help everyone develop their skills and confidence in the water.

Hi! My name is Iyshana, and I have swum competitively with the Breakers for nine years. I’ve enjoyed being a CIT (coach in training) and I’m now excited to help guide the next generation of Breakers while creating lots of fun memories along the way!

Hello! My name is Avaya Dusanj, and after 10 years (and counting) of swimming with the Breakers, I am thrilled to be able to give back to the team as a coach! I am currently coaching the Pre Breaker 2’s this winter, and I am ecstatic to make more memories and happy swimmers this summer. Go Breakers!

Growing  up at our cottage in Quebec and then learning my way through all the  steps and levels of the Red Cross and Royal Life Saving programs, I  eventually became a Lifeguard, a Swim Instructor, an Examiner, and  Waterfront Director at Camp Oolahwan, ~ at the time, the largest Girls  ‘Y’ Camp in Canada. Swimming has continued to be an important part of my  life and has merged seamlessly with my chosen teaching career. Although  not being a competitive swimmer, I love working with young people to  help them reach their goals in the water. I appreciate the drive,  determination, and willingness of each one to learn and grow with our  Breaker’s team.
